Manufacturing Process

Mild steel is produced using Basic Oxygen Furnace (BOF) or Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) methods. Mild steel products conform to Indian Standards (IS) for quality and performance:

IS 2062:2011 – Hot rolled medium and high tensile structural steel.
IS 1079:2017 – Cold rolled carbon steel sheets and strips.

Post-production, mild steel is processed into different forms:
